ICONS.org.uk is an online project commissioned by Culture online.

ICONS is a rich online resource of material about English life and its diverse cultural heritage. The projects primary aim is to create an online ‘Portrait of England’ where visitors can explore the official collection of ICONS, nominate their favourite ICON and vote for selected ICONS – it’s a call for people to be inspired, debate and get involved!

ICONS.org.uk launched in January 2006 with an identity and web site created by Cogapp.
